Why do I seem drawn to Asian countries?
Why am I drawn to Asian countries? This is a question that it seems I get a lot, and a question that sometimes I ask myself. I don't think that its one thing in perticular, but rather a combination of things that leave me looking for more meaning in them than what is possibly there. Some might understand what I'm getting at, some may not.. It seems, for me anyhow, that Asia has a certain spice to it that Europe or many of the other places lack. Sure, I like Europe. When I was younger I trolled around many of those countries taking in the vibes and I really did enjoy it. I basically look at Europe like it prepared me for real traveling. You see, the thing is.. Most of the cultural attributes that you see Europeans wearing on their faces can easily map to something that I understand. I mean, most of the people in my country came from Europe within the last couple generations. So, I guess that its not surprising that it seems so familiar when compared to the far east. I guess when it comes to Europe, nothings shocking.
It seems like the more I learn about Asian cultures, the less I feel I actually know.. The more I learn, the more I realize I didn't know before. Yip, I suppose I am still swimming in my own lack of really getting it. And, if I'm not? Don't tell me, it wont be so cool coming back and trying to figure it out if that's the case.
