I was working in Bangkok on a contract when I was diagnosed with an intestinal fistula and needed to have surgery. A friend at the company I was working with recommended this hospital to me and in hindsight I am very glad that I took his advise. I was very nervous about having an operation outside of the United States, and now I don't know if i would ever want to have one there again. The care was amazing, the people where so polite and helpful. The doctor who performed my operation had finished medical school from Boston, and at our introduction made a joke about my NY Yankees hat. The hospital was more modern than my local hospital in New York and everyone there was so interested to make sure that you where OK, and really tried to make me as comfortable as possible. I really fell in love with the place, which I can't say is the norm for me, as I hate hospitals. The people, the care, the room, everything about this hospital was nothing short of excellent. After that experience I can truly see how overpriced and inferior the health care is back home, and I will opt for coming back to Phyathai if I ever need to in the future. Thank you, to everyone who cared for me during those two weeks.
