Located in the red light district of Bangkok, the Patpong Night Market is a lively spot with shopping and access to bars. Due to its location and reputation, the area is often crowded with tourists and is not recommended for families in the late night. You can get here by sky train and getting off at Sala Daeng station or by subway to Silom station.

Found in an area of Bangkok known as Silom, the night market is a tourist destination for not only its shopping but the nightlife as well, which consists of go-go bars and adult entertainment.

The stalls at the market sell bootleg designer goods, CDs and DVDs (often pirated), computer software, luggage and purses, and a variety of souvenirs. The Patpong Night Market is best known for imitation designer goods, including handbags, sportswear and watches. Bargaining is a must since prices of wares sold at this particular market are greatly inflated, sometimes even at four times their market price.

Patpong is known for its notorious nightlife with an emphasis on adult entertainment. There are street level go-go bars, so called for the female go-go dancers. On the upper floors are the closed-door cabaret and ‘ping pong’ shows. Bars, massage parlors and restaurants run along Patpong 1 and 2. Expect to be bombarded by locals selling sex shows as you shop around the market.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Famously featured in a chase sequence in a Bond film over thirty years ago, the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a haven for tourists, and a unique market which is often associated with Thailand.

Shopping at Chatuchak (JJ Market)

JJ Market is situated in Krung Mahanakhon, Bangkok, and is easily accessible by sky train, as Mochit BTS leads directly to Chatuchak’s entrance, which also has its own MRT station – Chatuchak.

Taling Chan Floating Market

With less tourist traffic than the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, the Taling Chan Floating Market is a more genuine representation of traditional markets in Thailand. Though still quaint, this market is less concentrated on the water with various vendors setting up shop along the banks of the canal.

The Resort Club

The Resort is located just off of Rachada Soi 13, past the little strip of massage parlors and nightlife which you will notice between Soi 11 and Soi 13. It is close to a lot of other popular nightlife in the Ratchada area, and easily accessible from the Huay Kwang subway station.

Slim Club in RCA

Located near Route 66, on the right hand side of RCA if walking from Rama 9. Opens at 7pm, closes at 2am, Slim keeps the entertainment alive with live music, food and drinks. A great stop while drinking your way down RCA.

Forte Coyote Club

recently remodeled with a great new layout, Forte is the only member club on the RCA strip. Great bands and known for throwing parties worth not missing, Forte has become known as "the" coyote bar at RCA. It is a member club, so be prepared to by a membership or pay entirely to much for your drinks. The coyote dancers are attractive and the service is great.

Baroque at RCA

At the edge of RCA, Baroque Bar is considered the place to be on the RCA strip for house and live house music fans. Baroque is trimmed out with a relaxed, plush interior, and attracts a slightly nicer dressed crowd than some of the other clubs on the RCA strip which are more oriented toward the university group.
